Famous Brands

Project Information Famous Brands is Africa’s largest branded food franchisor, the portfolio is comprised of 25 brands 2545 restaurants globally. The NrG team carried out energy audits of the Meat Processing Plant and the Bakery, both located in Midrand. Through the audit a number of savings opportunities in refrigeration, energy efficient lighting and energy management practices were identified. The opportunity for solar power generation was also investigated to aid the company in its drive towards sustainable operations and manufacturing. Through the proposed initiatives a total saving of 18% of energy used can be achieved.
