Project Information Next Renewable Generation provided a detailed energy audit report for the third-largest dairy producer in South Africa. Several energy savings opportunities were identified, including boiler efficiency, lighting replacements, energy management system and variable speed drive installations. In addition, a major fuel switching opportunity was analysed and the significant cost saving reported on. The total savings from the measures identified represent a 10% reduction in energy consumption and a 12% reduction in cost, which translates to over R2 million savings in the first year of implementation.
