In August 2015, an energy efficiency audit was conducted at St Andrew’s College in Grahamstown. This audit aimed to find energy reduction opportunities for the school, which has already implemented energy efficient technologies. The school uses heat pumps and solar collectors to supply their domestic hot water and has a reverse osmosis system for water purification on site. NrG recognized the school’s dedication to becoming leaders in sustainability and helped identify opportunities that would further enhance their efforts. Through the audit process, the team identified 27% energy (kWh) savings and 23% cost savings for the site.
